Wedding car and special occasion service in Izmir

Practical ways to settle the car, decoration and timeline in advance for a wedding or engagement day.

On a wedding day the hours fly by. Leaving the hairdresser, the photo shoot, and arriving for the ceremony or the hall move along as a chain, and within that chain the car is the link that gets the least attention but is felt the most when it fails. Choosing a wedding car is not only a matter of looks; it is about timing, comfort and the driver knowing the area.

Not just weddings, every special occasion

A wedding car usually means a wedding, but a chauffeur-driven car can also be chosen for an engagement, a henna night, a proposal, a graduation ceremony, an anniversary or a special party. If you state the nature of the day in the quote, the planning is done accordingly. For example, a single route is enough for a short civil ceremony, while at an all-day event the car may wait for hours.

Put the timeline on paper first

It is important to estimate realistically how long each link in the day will take. A half-hour overrun at the hairdresser shortens the photo shoot or delays the ceremony. Planning the car so that it absorbs this slippage reduces the bride’s stress.

Writing down the flow of the day before asking for a quote eases things for both you and whoever is planning the service. These headings help:

  • Place of preparation: home, hotel or hairdresser’s address.
  • Stops for the photo shoot and their estimated durations.
  • Ceremony venue and hall address.
  • How long the car is expected to wait at each stop.
  • The return home or to the hotel at the end of the night.

In Izmir, the coast, historic streets and open-air venues are popular for photographs; for up-to-date information on places for shoots you can look at the Izmir Directorate of Culture and Tourism page. For places with shooting permits or time restrictions, you need to get current information from the relevant authority.

Some families want the wedding car only for a two-kilometre journey, while others want to take it to different parts of the city through the day with photographs. In both cases the quote is not prepared on the same basis. The number of stops, the waiting time at each stop and how long the car stays with you are the basic elements of the quote’s scope. Deciding these in advance gives peace of mind for both budget and timing.

Decoration and vehicle details

Because the car will appear in the day’s photographs, it is good to discuss preparation from the start: details such as delivering the car clean, the time set aside for decoration and short stops for photographs are settled in the quote discussion. Writing down and having confirmed the scope, materials and time for decoration reduces surprises on the morning of the day.

The decoration request is settled in the quote. Write your preferences, such as flowers, ribbons or theme colours, in advance; what is possible within what scope is discussed at the quote stage. As a vehicle class, the Mercedes-Benz Vito VIP suits approximately 1–6 passengers. If a mother, sibling or witness will also travel with the bride and groom, state the number of passengers. The volume of the wedding dress should also be taken into account; it helps to mention this when discussing luggage and seating space.

Whether the bride and groom will travel in the same car or in separate cars should also be settled from the start. Some families want one car for the bride and another for the groom and relatives. In that case the meeting point and timing are planned separately for each car, so that the two cars meet at the ceremony venue at the same time and in good order. Weather, especially at open-air ceremonies, can change the planned photo stops, so it is worth thinking of an alternative route.

Questions before the quote

TopicWhy it matters
Date and time rangeSo the car can be reserved for that day
Preparation and ceremony addressTo calculate the route and approximate time
Number of passengersTo choose the vehicle class
Expected waiting timeSo waiting and extra-time terms can be written
Decoration requestTo settle the scope in the quote
Contact personFor coordination with the driver during the day

Make coordination easy on the day

The owner of the wedding does not want to be on the phone all day. So name a relative, for example a friend you know, as the person who will talk to the driver. The meeting point and driver contact are shared with the booking confirmation; share this information with the person running the event.

Think about guest transfers too

Besides the bride’s car, immediate family or foreign guests may need to be taken from the hotel to the hall. In that case the Sprinter class (approximately 10–16 passengers depending on the vehicle) can be considered for carrying a large group in one go. Exact capacity is confirmed in the quote. That way guests do not arrive in different vehicles at different times, and the ceremony starts on time.

Leave no surprises

At weddings, the thing that changes most is the time. The hall owner, the photographer or the elders of the family may shift the schedule. Do not let such changes pile up; share each one with the car side as soon as it is settled.

If the plan changes in the last week, tell them at once. When the time slips, you know in advance what will happen, because waiting terms and extra-time items are written in the quote. Once the quote is approved the booking is confirmed; after that stage it is best to report any date and time changes as early as possible.

Finally, if the day ends with a return close to midnight, be sure to write this in the quote. Celebrations that run on can increase waiting time more than expected. Giving the return time, even roughly, ensures both that the car is reserved for you that night and that the waiting and extra-time terms are written correctly.

Getting started

You can see the scope of the service on the Izmir wedding car page, and if you need a car all day, look at the daily chauffeur hire option. Write to us on the get a quote page with the date, addresses and decoration requests; the fare is communicated by written quote before the journey.
